Got into Venture capital, then got into blockchain full time with key interest in TradFi. 🔸 Polytrade (Milind) says that TradFi has many problems that need to be addressed but they've decided to start with the most fundamental and easiest one, Invoice financing. And bringing invoices on-chain. 🔸 Polytrade's first product was its Lender protocol. It did approx. $3M in tokenized invoices. 🔸 Polytrade has launched a second product, the RWA Marketplace. And this will be more beneficial to the retail market. 🔸 Swarm (Timo) says bringing public stocks on chain has a lot of novelty around it in terms of regulation and had to be explained to authorities. Building the compliance infrastructure was the biggest hurdle. 🔸 Polytrade (Milind) says the custodian model is already hard in TradFi let alone, DeFi so yes, it is a worthy task. Polytrade is working with Chainink to build a reserve for assets in possession and is also in talks with custodians. 🔸 Polytrade (Milind) is working on a reliable auditor to build trust and show how assets are brought on-chain in real time. asset. 🔸 Swarm (Timo) says Private illiquid assets should be brought on-chain to increase liquidity through fractionalization. Public stocks and bonds should also be traded on-chain. They highlight that different assets will attract different interests depending on time frames of adaption and regulations. 🔸 Polytrade (Milind) says double financing, a big problem in TradFi will be solved by public blockchains. 🔸 Structured Financing is a very slow process. It involves many intermediaries. Polytrade (Milind) says RWA Marketplace and public blockchains will solve this problem. 🔸 Swarm (Timo) urges retailers to experiment with blockchain solutions to build the experience and give feedback for gray areas to be exposed and improved.
